Celebrating a milestone with my top 100.

Today, I’m out of the office for the best reason of all… it’s my 50th birthday!

Half a century on this planet. Wow.When I look back, I realize I’ve packed more into these years than I ever thought possible. I’ve ticked off bucket lists that could cover three lifetimes. And through it all, one thing’s been constant: I’ve always chased adventure. A Life That’s Never Been Boring. From flying all over the world, places like China over 30 times, to bootstrapping my own business into eight figures revenue, life’s been a wild ride. There have been big wins and crushing lows. Moments of pure joy, and moments when I’ve had to say goodbye to people I love.

And yet… I wouldn’t trade it. Every high, every low, it’s all been part of the story.

The Cost of the Climb

My career wasn’t exactly calm waters. It’s been dramatic, risky, cut-throat, and at times downright exhausting. But it gave me the freedom to create a personal life that, on the surface, might have looked “perfect” in the way a Facebook profile does. Behind that, Rosina and I have always filled our home with warmth, laughter, and the people we care about most. Hosting friends and family has never been a chore, it’s been one of our greatest joys.

My Top 100

Years ago, a friend asked me, “Who are your top five people in life?” I couldn’t stop at five, so I wrote down my top 100. And then it hit me… I hardly ever saw most of them. So I made it my mission to reconnect. At first, I thought I’d meet each one individually, but it would have taken a year. Then it clicked: why not throw one big party and invite them all? One night, one room, all the people who matter most. That was the start of us hosting event and parties both professionally and personally.

What I Know at 50!

  • Adventure keeps you alive – don’t wait for “someday.”
  • Success comes with a cost – decide if it’s worth it before you pay it.
  • People matter most – don’t let years go by without them.
  • There’s always more potential – no matter your age.
  • Action speak louder than ideas – there’s lots of ideas in this world and just a few brave that create something from them.

Looking Ahead

I’m excited for the next chapter of my life. It’s funny how, over the years, I’ve kept the promises I made to myself and I’m still looking forward to climbing a few more mountains and filling my potential before I leave this world. The most important lesson of all? Every moment is precious, and we should cherish each one, especially the moments we share with our “Top 100.”

Love you all,

Your friend,
Danijel Slisko
