Don't Die With Your Music Still In You
We all have our own music playing and we all have a personal mission in our lives. We all show up here with a purpose. However, too many of us are afraid to listen to that music and march to its beat.
Life will never hand us all the advice we need on a silver platter. We can’t wait for miracles to happen. We have been given two eyes to notice and see. If we open them wide enough, we might catch a glimpse of the countless opportunities life presents us. Through our experiences, we can choose to see lessons or hints that guide us towards creating the life we desire.
How grateful are you for your past experiences? If you find yourself reflecting on how things have unfolded in your life, consider yourself lucky! We have been granted the privilege of walking this earth, exploring, creating, learning, and serving more.
What do you want to do next? What are your ambitions for this new year? How do you envision yourself living in the next 12 months or even the next 6 months? Personally, having faced the loss of close friends and family, I am reminded of life’s fragility. So let me ask you this: “Imagine you were given only one more year to live, regardless of any treatments. You have one more year of life guaranteed.” How would you spend these precious 12 months? How would you treat the people around you? What words would you choose in your conversations? What books would you read? What places would you visit?
What would you do?
Tomorrow is never guaranteed to any of us. We don’t know how much time we have left together. Life is a gift, but it has its limits. Opportunities come our way, but they are not endless. We are blessed with years of life, but none of us knows exactly how many remain. So why not make this year the best one yet?
Who knows what it could bring? Perhaps you want to explore the world, dive into a new relationship despite your fears, or finally start that business you’ve been hesitant about. Whatever it may be, whoever you are, and however others interpret your music—whether it seems distant, strange, or peculiar—remember this:
“Don’t die with your music still in you!”
I know what my music is. It’s playing right now, as I share this message with all of you. My music is about helping people become great, raising my kids, creating a magical relationship with my wife Rosina (aka Sexy Pants), running my businesses, serving those around me, owning my happiness, love, and joy, pursuing freedom and adventures, sharing my truths and beliefs, and bringing my loved ones together.
I stumble and fall, but I get back up. I fail, adjust, and try again. I never quit! I keep going until I accomplish my mission, until the music I march to has worn me out! So, I ask you one last time: What would you do with the last 12 months of your life?
This dedication is to Wayne Dyer, who inspired me to share and add to his wisdom!
