As we end another eventful year, it’s important to pause and reflect on the journey we have undertaken. The year 2023 has brought forth an amount of challenges and opportunities, igniting personal and professional transformations. I would like to share with you some of the significant moments that have shaped my path and allowed me to focus on self-discovery and growth. 2023 was a year I dedicated to myself, scaling back to focus on the “environment called Danijel Slisko (My friends call me DJ)”
1) Personal Freedom through Letting Go:
One of the pivotal moments in 2023 was the decision to sell off one of my largest companies. This significant step provided not only freedom but also relieved me of the traditional obligations that I was a custom to, from being an owner. It was a bold move towards reclaiming my time and redefining my priorities.
2) Embracing Family Time:
Amidst the ever-busy schedules, I took deliberate steps to prioritize quality family time. This involved removing any expectations or requirements, allowing us to simply be present with one another. No reservations, no responsibilities—just pure, uninterrupted time spent together. Spending a full summer with just each other was amazing, adventuring throughout France, Italy and England.
3) Focusing on Love “ Our Honeymoon “
In the pursuit of reconnect the source of our love, my wife Rosina and I embarked on a honeymoon style filled with amazing conversations and shared experiences. We explored new depths of partnership, tending to both mundane daily tasks and exciting personal moments. The year has been invaluable in strengthening our bond. Date nights and adventure what more can a couple ask for. Feels like we just got together all over again.
4) Uncovering My Passion Project:
Professionally, 2023 has been a year of self-discovery. Through interactions with passionate creators, I have come to realize the value of pursuing what truly ignites my own enthusiasm. Meeting like-minded individuals who share my passion for creative craft has opened doors towards furthering my own passion project.
5) Motorcycle Adventures and Serene Getaways:
Recognizing the importance of personal solace, I dedicated more time to indulging in peaceful moments on my motorcycle. With my dear friends and fellow motorcycle enthusiast, I embarked on thrilling trips that not only brought joy but also provided a necessary escape from the demands of everyday thoughts.
6) Immersion in the Power of Music:
Music, with its unique ability to stir emotions, played a role in rediscovering what truly brings me alive. I realized the need to prioritize activities that fill my soul rather than solely focusing on problem-solving endeavors. This revelation serves as a reminder to devote more time to the uplifting experiences that music provides.
7) The Value of Human Connection:
2023 witnessed my active involvement in local events, offering genuine in-person connections. Relished the profound impact of personal branding in connecting individuals who may benefit from each other’s expertise and support. I’m here to help our community.
8) Sharing Experiences Through Writing:
To amplify my visibility and connect with others, I committed myself to sharing experiences, thoughts, and perspectives through blog writing and engaging on social media platforms. By demonstrating vulnerability, I aim to foster a community of like-minded individuals who can relate to the challenges and triumphs we all encounter. The most important part, I learned to write for myself, to take the time to express my thoughts and articulate them clearly.
9) Rekindling Old Friendships and Forging New Connections:
The year encouraged me to reconnect with old friends and widened my circle by making new ones. Initiating conversations and exploring possibilities for the future has been invigorating, illuminating the numerous opportunities that lie ahead. Also connect with amazing peers who help me maintain my confidence in a crazy world of opinions and judgement.
10) A Wealth of Professional Opportunities:
2023 unveiled a staggering array of professional prospects. It is humbling to witness the trust bestowed upon me by numerous professionals who believe in my abilities as a business leader and are eager to collaborate moving forward. The future brims with possibility for new growth and learning.
11) Watching my boys grow up into men!
This year marks the milestone of my boys graduation and both moving on to the next chapter of their lives! Watching them grow up right in front of my eyes, into men I can be proud of. Confident and independent. I really do not have to worry about them anymore!
