It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we inform you that Terry, a loving husband, father, papa, and brother, passed away peacefully this morning after a long and courageous battle with cancer. There will be a celebration of his life in the coming weeks. Details will be provided later. XO Linda.
This was the post following a phone call about my friend Terry Krahn, who has passed away from cancer. Terry held a special place in my heart; he was one of the first people to entrust a commercial contract to my company.
Terry and Mike from JR Contract Management awarded my first commercial contract. It was to paint the windows of the McDougall School building in downtown Calgary in the late 1990s.
What a great project it was for me! I grabbed a 40-foot extension ladder and the oil-based paint specified for the project. I was ready to go! I spent about a month there, painting my heart out, fighting to make sure my work van didn’t get towed. I even had multiple chances to say hello to Ralph Klein, the Premier of Alberta at the time, when he was going out for his lunch breaks.
I will never forget the opportunity you both gave me. Thank you, Terry. I know your battle with cancer was long, and I appreciate you sticking it out as long as you could to play music and share your true passion with us. I’ll miss the days when you would perform at our Stampede parties. You and the guys always put on a great show!
Thank you for everything you have done for me. I will never forget you. Love you, brother. Rest in peace.
Your friend,
Danijel Slisko
