Today marks my 19th wedding anniversary with my best friend and number one supporter, Rosina Frustaci Slisko! She is a woman with a creative taste, style, and strong family values. I never thought I’d be so lucky to be with the hottest girl from high school. I remember how shy I was, admiring your beauty and your popularity.
Here are the top 10 things I love about my wife, Rosina Frustaci Slisko:
1. She is a social butterfly – She values friendship deeply. Rosina has such a diverse group of friends, and it’s evident how much they admire her friendship and enjoy her company.
2. Loves entertaining – This woman really knows how to host and throw a party. She will work for days to prepare for having friends and family over to celebrate something. I love her dedication to ensuring our guests feel entertained. Rosina is an absolutely fantastic cook! From the first time she prepared chicken cutlets at her dad’s house for me, right up to today, her cooking skills have never ceased to impress me.
3. She takes care of all the men in her life: our children Anton and Maximo, her father Giovanni (my best friend), and of course, me, Big Papa.
4. She is absolutely gorgeous! Classy yet sexy style! Like I said, Rosina has taste! I love just walking around a shopping mall and watching her shop for clothing for any occasion! She thinks about every detail and never settles!
5. She is so down to earth! Always questioning spending habits, frugal yet generous with our family. Rosina was raised by the most humble man I have ever known, Giovanni Frustaci! He raised her to consider the cost of things and appreciate the simple pleasures in life.
6. She is a strong-willed Italian woman, raised with a strong sense of discipline. With influences from her Nonna, mother, and aunts, she keeps us all on track and organized. They would be proud to see how she manages things efficiently. She embodies the true spirit of an Italian wife and mother. As the song by Cat Stevens says, she is a “Hard Headed Woman.”
7. “Supportive” doesn’t even begin to describe our partnership at work. We have been working together for nearly 16 years. She has been there for me through all my visions, silly ideas, struggles, successes, and failures. We truly are a power couple, combining our strengths and supporting each other every step of the way.
8. She loves adventuring with me, whether it’s riding on the back of my motorcycle, traveling to far-off places, trying new restaurants, making new friends, or brainstorming our new business ideas. She’s by my side every step of the way!
9. Our relationship is 100%, not just 50/50 in marriage. Sometimes, you need to cover for your spouse’s shortcomings or when they’re going through a tough time, and vice versa. Rosina has always filled in where I fall short, regardless of the reason, with a happy and cheerful attitude.
10. Rosina has never let anyone come between us. Her family always comes first, and I’m proud to be her husband.
Bonus item: Rosario Frustaci is her brother! Both Marisa Noce Frustaci and Rosario are there for us and our children. They remind me of my uncle Karlo and Aunt Iva, who were like my second set of parents. When I meet new people and mention that my wife is Italian, they ask for her name to see if they know her. I simply say, “I’m Rosario Frustaci’s brother-in-law,” and they immediately recognize all of us! 😂
